Governance Platform

The enterprise governance platform is the administrative layer for organizations that need centralized policy management across teams, projects, and endpoints.

It should be built on top of the same policy and inference primitives used by the developer platform.

Administrator capabilities

Enterprise administrators should be able to:

  • Create projects.
  • Manage tenant credentials.
  • Select prebuilt policies.
  • Write custom policies.
  • Version and approve policy changes.
  • Apply policies to endpoints.
  • Configure default policy sets.
  • Test policy behavior in an enterprise playground.
  • Review audit logs and request traces.

Default policy application

In the enterprise platform, application code should not need to choose policies for every call. Instead:

  1. An administrator configures default policies for a project or endpoint.
  2. The application calls the endpoint with tenant credentials.
  3. The platform resolves the active policy set.
  4. The endpoint returns the safety verdict.

This enables central governance while keeping application integration simple.

Integrations

The enterprise platform should support:

  • Direct SDK/API integration.
  • MCP connector integration for LLM platforms.
  • Skill-based integration for LLM environments that support deployable skills.
  • Customer AI gateway integration for prompt and response checks.
