Cost Optimization

Checks are charged by the tokens they use (see Credit and billing). To spend less:

  • Send only what the rules are about. For a message, send the message, not the whole record around it.
  • Skip what doesn't need checking, like content from your own trusted systems, and don't check the same content twice.
  • Keep sets small. A short set for a low-risk surface costs less per check than a long one.
  • Leave showReason off unless you use the reason.
  • Keep your API key on your server. Anyone who has it can spend your credit.
